EducAI

Soham Gherwada

EducAI is a localized, privacy-first AI infrastructure designed for higher education institutions. Founded by Soham Gherwada, the platform provides universities with on-campus artificial intelligence powered by advanced Retrieval-Augmented Generation systems. By hosting the AI locally on the university's internal hardware, EducAI ensures data sovereignty, preventing proprietary coursework, student data, and institutional intelligence from being leaked or used to train external public large language models. The platform offers a suite of interactive learning tools for students and faculty. For students, EducAI provides 24/7 academic support through virtual teaching assistants grounded strictly in approved course materials, which helps prevent AI hallucinations. It automatically generates study assets such as practice tests, flashcards, lecture notes, and dynamic mind maps directly from the syllabus. For faculty, the system reduces administrative friction by automating the creation of formative assessments and study aids without risking intellectual property. During his presentation, Gherwada detailed the platform's architecture and discussed its early traction, which includes a completed summer pilot program within a marketing course at Carleton University's Sprott School of Business. The company's go-to-market strategy focuses on expanding from professor-led pilots to department-wide and institutional-scale deployments. To conclude, the presenter invited educational institutions to partner with EducAI and schedule a campus-wide demo to implement secure, autonomous educational technology.
