Privacy policy

What we collect

• When you sign up for an event: your name, email, phone number, ticket details and whether you checked in.
• When you buy a ticket: payments go through Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
• Your public LinkedIn profile and a few of your recent public posts, so we know who's coming. We use an AI tool to turn them into a short internal note.
• If you present: what you send us about your project, your photo, and your public website. Talks can be filmed and shared on Spark's site and social media.
• Feedback you share after an event.
• Whether our emails reached you, and whether you opened them or clicked a link in them.
• How people use sparkclub.io (pages visited, device, rough location), through analytics and ad-measurement tools that use cookies.

How we use it

• To run events: tickets, confirmations, reminders and day-of texts.
• To tell you about upcoming Spark events. You can unsubscribe anytime.
• To understand who comes to our events and make them better.
• To see which of our emails and ads work.

We don't sell your information.

Who helps us

We use a few companies to run Spark, and they only get what they need to do their job: Google (Firebase and Google Cloud, where our data is stored), Vercel (website hosting), Stripe (payments), Resend (email), Telnyx (texts), Mux (video), PostHog and Vercel Analytics (site analytics), Meta, TikTok and Google (ad measurement), OpenAI and OpenRouter (AI writing and summaries), Anthropic and OpenAI (the Claude and ChatGPT assistants we use to run Spark; they see names and event details, not your email or phone number), and HarvestAPI (public LinkedIn lookups). Some of them store data outside Quebec and Canada, mostly in the United States.

Your choices

• Every email has an unsubscribe link. Event emails for an event you signed up for (like your ticket) still come.
• Reply STOP to any text to stop getting texts.
• Email us to see what we have about you, fix it, or delete it. We'll answer within 30 days.
• You can block cookies in your browser. The site still works.

How long we keep it

We keep your information while it's useful for running Spark events, then delete it. You can ask us to delete it sooner.
